Service Description

Mind Your Manners: 5-Week Dog Obedience Fundamentals Transform your dog into the well-mannered companion you’ve always wanted! Whether you're working with an enthusiastic puppy, a newly adopted shelter dog, or an adult dog in need of a refresher, Mind Your Manners is designed to build a strong foundation of real-world obedience and focus. Over 5 structured, engaging weeks, you and your dog will master essential life skills in a supportive, fun environment: ~Sit & Down: Fast, reliable responses on the first cue. ~Stay & Impulse Control: Building patience around everyday distractions. ~Recall (Come When Called): Creating a trustworthy recall for safety and freedom. ~Leash Manners: Turning stressful pulls into smooth, enjoyable walks together. ~Focus & Engagement: Teaching your dog to choose you over external distractions, plus practical manners like polite greetings (no jumping!). Who is this class for? This class is open to dogs of any age and all obedience levels. We adapt exercises to meet your dog right where they are—whether they are starting from scratch or refining their skills.

Cancellation Policy

Cancellation Policy: If Client fails to give at least 24 hours cancellation notice, or is not present at time of scheduled appointment, session fees are still due. Liability: If Dog causes property damage, or bites or injures any dog, animal or person (including but not limited to Trainer and Trainer’s agents), during or after the term of this Agreement, then Client agrees to pay all resulting losses and damages suffered or incurred, and to defend and indemnify Trainer and Trainer’s agents from any resulting claims, demands, lawsuits, losses, costs or expenses, including attorney fees. If Dog is injured in a fight or in any other manner during or after the term of the Agreement, Client assumes the risk and agrees that Trainer should not be held responsible for any resulting injuries, losses, damages, costs or expenses. At Trainer's sole election, Trainer's duties hereunder shall terminate if (a) in Trainer's sole judgment Dog is dangerous or vicious to Trainer or any other person or animal, or interferes with the training of other dogs, or (b) Client breaches any term or condition of this Agreement. Upon termination in accordance with the foregoing, Trainer's duties shall terminate but all other provisions of this Agreement shall continue in full force and effect. Montana-Specific Legal Provisions 1. In accordance with Montana Code Annotated (MCA) § 27-1-715, client assumes full responsibility for damages or injury caused by their dog while under the care of Shadow Paws Training. 2. In compliance with Montana dog bite and liability laws, client agrees to indemnify and hold harmless Shadow Paws Training from any claims arising from the dog’s behavior unless due to gross negligence. 3. Client affirms the dog is properly vaccinated and licensed in accordance with local Montana municipal regulations. 4. In the event of severe weather conditions common to Montana (extreme cold, ice, wildfire smoke, excessive heat), Shadow Paws Training reserves the right to modify services for safety. 5. Any disputes arising under this agreement shall be governed by the laws of the State of Montana and venue shall lie in the county where services are provided. Client releases and waives liability against Shadow Paws Training for injury, illness, loss, or damage except in cases of proven gross negligence or willful misconduct. Client accepts full financial responsibility for injuries or damages caused by their dog.
