Meet the Trainer
Whitney Taylor, CCDT, CPDT-KA®
Hi, I’m Whitney — a Certified Professional Dog Trainer (CPDT-KA®) serving Three Forks, Manhattan, Belgrade and the greater Gallatin Valley. I’m passionate about helping dogs and their people build strong, confident relationships through positive, thoughtful training.
I’ve lived most of my life in the Gallatin Valley, and my love for dogs started early. Growing up in Manhattan, Montana, I began dog walking and pet sitting for neighbors, which eventually grew into working with dogs throughout Bozeman.
My journey into dog training really began when I adopted Harley, a spirited Toy Australian Shepherd. He introduced me to the world of agility and completely changed the way I looked at training. Through working with Harley, I discovered how much I loved helping dogs learn and watching that connection grow between dog and owner.
After Harley retired, I welcomed Rosie, my first Australian Shepherd puppy. With Rosie, I focused on shaping and luring techniques to encourage problem-solving and confidence. As she grew, we explored stock dog training together, which opened up a whole new level of communication and understanding between us.
After Rosie retired at age eleven, I began teaching Agility 1.0 classes with the Galloping Dog Agility Club in Bozeman. Helping other owners experience those same “aha” moments with their dogs is what really solidified my passion for training.

My Certifications & Training
I’m committed to continuing education and using science-based, ethical training methods.
I completed my professional certification through Catch Canine Trainers Academy in April 2024, earning my Certified Canine Dog Trainer (CCDT) designation.
I also earned my Certified Professional Dog Trainer – Knowledge Assessed (CPDT-KA®) certification through the Certification Council for Professional Dog Trainers. This certification represents years of learning, hands-on experience, and dedication to understanding how dogs learn and communicate.

Life Outside of Training
Outside of dog training, I cherish moments outdoors with my husband, two daughters. Our lively household consists of an Australian Shepherd, a Border Collie McNab Cross, a Border Collie puppy, and a crazy Calico cat.
