Service Description

A 5-week dog agility training course in Three Forks, MT designed to help beginner dogs and handlers build confidence while learning the core agility obstacles in a safe and supportive environment. Agility Fundamentals is a structured 5-week group dog training course designed to introduce dogs and handlers to the foundations of agility training. This class focuses on developing strong communication, confidence, and safe obstacle performance using positive reinforcement and shaping techniques. Whether you’re interested in future agility competition or simply want to build engagement and teamwork with your dog, this class provides the essential building blocks. During this course, dogs and handlers will learn how to safely approach and complete agility obstacles while building confidence and focus. Each week we will practice foundational skills and introduce obstacles gradually so dogs can learn in a way that matches their natural movement and comfort level. Training includes: • Hoops • Tunnels • Jumps (for dogs 1 year and older) • Catco Boards • Cones and Barrels • Feed Buckets Each class includes guided practice, skill-building exercises, and trainer feedback to help each team progress. This course is ideal for: • Beginner dog and handler teams wanting to learn agility fundamentals • Dog owners interested in building engagement and confidence through structured training • Teams preparing for more advanced agility training in the future • Dogs who benefit from confidence-building activities and mental enrichment Class Size Small group training with a maximum of 5 dog/handler teams to ensure individual coaching and a safe learning environment. Please bring the following items to each class: • Proof of current vaccinations • Flat collar or harness with a 4–6 ft leash (no retractable leashes) • High-value treats or a favorite toy • A crate if you'd like to work on crate training • Comfortable shoes for running with your dog

Cancellation Policy

Cancellation Policy: If Client fails to give at least 24 hours cancellation notice, or is not present at time of scheduled appointment, session fees are still due. Liability: If Dog causes property damage, or bites or injures any dog, animal or person (including but not limited to Trainer and Trainer’s agents), during or after the term of this Agreement, then Client agrees to pay all resulting losses and damages suffered or incurred, and to defend and indemnify Trainer and Trainer’s agents from any resulting claims, demands, lawsuits, losses, costs or expenses, including attorney fees. If Dog is injured in a fight or in any other manner during or after the term of the Agreement, Client assumes the risk and agrees that Trainer should not be held responsible for any resulting injuries, losses, damages, costs or expenses. At Trainer's sole election, Trainer's duties hereunder shall terminate if (a) in Trainer's sole judgment Dog is dangerous or vicious to Trainer or any other person or animal, or interferes with the training of other dogs, or (b) Client breaches any term or condition of this Agreement. Upon termination in accordance with the foregoing, Trainer's duties shall terminate but all other provisions of this Agreement shall continue in full force and effect. Montana-Specific Legal Provisions 1. In accordance with Montana Code Annotated (MCA) § 27-1-715, client assumes full responsibility for damages or injury caused by their dog while under the care of Shadow Paws Training. 2. In compliance with Montana dog bite and liability laws, client agrees to indemnify and hold harmless Shadow Paws Training from any claims arising from the dog’s behavior unless due to gross negligence. 3. Client affirms the dog is properly vaccinated and licensed in accordance with local Montana municipal regulations. 4. In the event of severe weather conditions common to Montana (extreme cold, ice, wildfire smoke, excessive heat), Shadow Paws Training reserves the right to modify services for safety. 5. Any disputes arising under this agreement shall be governed by the laws of the State of Montana and venue shall lie in the county where services are provided. Client releases and waives liability against Shadow Paws Training for injury, illness, loss, or damage except in cases of proven gross negligence or willful misconduct. Client accepts full financial responsibility for injuries or damages caused by their dog.
