    • Each week we will teach our dogs how to complete each obstacle in a safe manner that fits the way they run

Agility Fundamentals

Drop-In Agility

  • Type of Class:

    • Drop-in group training, 5 dog/handler max

    • 1 hour class every Monday

  • Who It’s For:

    • Beginners curious to try agility for the first time

    • Experienced teams wanting extra practice

    • Shy or nervous dogs building confidence

  • Class Overview:

    • During each session, we’ll focus on fun, safe agility activities:

      • Warm-up exercises to get your dog focused and ready

      • Individual obstacle practice: jumps, tunnels, weave poles, and hoops

      • Short, easy-to-follow course runs

      • Positive, encouraging trainer feedback tailored to your dog’s needs

    • Class is limited to five dog/handler teams. I’ll send out a list of dates for class each month. Please let me know which days you’ll be attending so I can reserve your spot.

    • Each week, we will build upon the skills introduced the week before, helping to progressively strengthen the bond and communication between you and your dog, creating a lasting and trusting relationship.

Everyday Manners Class

Canine Good Citizen Prep Class

  • Type Of Class:

  • Who is this class for:

    • Puppies and dogs 5 months and older

    • Dogs and handlers with little to no previous training

  • We will work on the 10 AKC Test items:

    • Accepting a friendly stranger

    • Sitting politely for petting

    • Appearance and grooming

    • Out for a walk (walking on a loose lead)

    • Walking through a crowd

    • Sit and down on cue and stay in place

    • Coming when called

    • Reaction to another dog

    • Reaction to distraction

    • Supervised separation

    • The AKC Canine Good Citizen (CGC) program provides a perfect framework for training your dog to become a polite member of society. The test items are practical and functional behaviors that every dog should have to be welcomed in any community.

    • Each week, we will systematically outline the techniques required to execute each behavior, ensuring its natural adoption by your canine companion. By utilizing the knowledge acquired during class, you and your dog will have the opportunity to practice at home, thereby reinforcing and progressing your training for the subsequent week.

    • Following the completion of the five-week class, you and your canine companion will be prepared to take the Canine Good Citizen (CGC) test, thereby qualifying for the prestigious AKC Canine Good Citizen title.

Operation Puppy Class

    • Operation Puppy is an engaging 5-week course thoughtfully designed to help you smoothly integrate your new puppy into your family life in a fun, playful, and stress-free way. Using positive, reward-based training methods, we’ll work together to build a consistent routine tailored just for you, ensuring your puppy becomes a happy, well-adjusted, and seamless part of your everyday life.

    • Each week, the puppies get the exciting opportunity to socialize and play together in a safe, controlled environment.     • AKC S.T.A.R. Puppy was designed to get dog owners and their puppy off on the right paw! This class is the perfect first in-person experience for puppies and new dog owners alike. You'll learn essential skills like housetraining, managing chewing behaviors, and much more to set your puppy up for success. Plus, it serves as an ideal stepping stone toward the Canine Good Citizen Prep class and the Canine Good Citizen test. Let's make training fun and effective from day one!

    • Puppies that are striving for the AKC S.T.A.R Puppy title must attend all six classes. On week six, you and your puppy will be administered the test. Then you will get an application to send into the AKC for the title.
